Blackburn vs Everton is on monday
Went out after ET in a 2-1 loss conceding in the 80th minute after a first half goal by Shane Duffy.
Previous to that, team had been unbeaten in previous 11 games and not conceded in the last 10 (including a 1 nil win v Blackburn!). Best team we have had for a while so sad that they went out but there is some good talents there.

4-0 this evening. Really lovely stuff from our boys, some very good football being played. The ball was rarely off the ground bar the keepers goal kicks. Lots of talent on show, and most importantly (first team take note) they played like they were actually a team. Enthusiastic, energetic and they never lacked in effort. Was a joy to watch, and I certainly hope some of this talented lot aren't too far away from the first team in a few years time.
Defensive unit is so solid too, think we've conceded just the one in about 6 matches this competition. Walker, Mills and Bruma are as solid as they come at this level.
Bring on Newcastle/Villa in a month or so in the final! :D

Who's been your player of the tournament so far? I hear Clifford is doing well.

Well 13/28 replies have been from others! Plus there's been 22 views so it can't be doing that badly. I enjoy bragging about our youth team too. :P
Conor Clifford has done well, but the real star so far has been at the back in Jeffrey Bruma. ;)

What a fantastic night for the youngsters - 10,400+ of us turned up to support them, was vocal throughout as well which was nice. They didn't let us down either, continued dominating the tie as we did in the first leg, very slick passing throughout - although we continued in struggling to get the ball in the back of their net. Similarily to the first leg, they struck first with an excellent header this time. Villa were very rigid, defensively solid and committed throughout and can take pride from only losing 3-2 considering the amount of possession we had over the two ties.
Mitrovic got the first after some nice work from Sala, and the captain Conor Clifford got the late winner with an an excellent strike, one that would deserve to win any final.
Bruma and McEachran the stand out names once again, both have excellent careers ahead of them... I can only look forward to seeing, particularly the latter, develop into a first team player for Chelsea. Excellent effort from us and I think we deserved to win over the two ties - stronger physically and technically better too.
First of three in the next two weeks, hopefully.
